The typical North York backyard is a deep rectangle with mature trees along the fence line and a house that was not designed with the yard in mind. That combination rewards a pool set well back, with the deck doing the work of connecting it to the house: a wider terrace off the rear doors, then the water beyond it, rather than a pool pushed up against the patio doors.
Access is the constraint that decides the build method. Many of these homes sit shoulder to shoulder with a side yard barely wide enough to walk through, so the choice between a conveyor, a compact machine or a crane lift over the roof gets made before the design is finalised, not once the excavator is on the street.

Yes. North York is part of the City of Toronto, so the pool enclosure permit, fencing and setback requirements are the city's, and we factor them into the design and coordinate the application.
Almost always. The usual answers are a crane lift over the house or a conveyor through the side yard. We settle which one before design is finalised so the method is planned rather than improvised.
Not necessarily. Excavation routes and root protection are planned around them where the layout allows. Where a tree genuinely cannot be saved we say so early, while the design can still change.
We don't publish prices or ranges, because a concrete pool is priced by the property: access, grade, soil, structure and the scope of the landscaping all move the number. We come out and look at the site first, then put a firm quote in writing.
Most of our projects run a single season, from design to first swim. Design, engineering and permits come first, then excavation, steel, plumbing, gunite, finishes and landscaping. Small senior crews and a schedule we commit to are what keep that timeline realistic.
