Richmond Hill's rolling, tree-lined lots reward pools that work with the grade instead of flattening it.
Sloped properties are common here, and they are an opportunity rather than a problem. A change in elevation is what makes a raised spa, a spillover wall or a negative edge look inevitable instead of decorative. It does mean the engineering has to be right: retaining structures, drainage and hydrostatic relief all have to be designed for the actual site, not assumed.
Many of these lots also carry mature trees and established gardens that owners want kept. We plan excavation routes and root protection around them, and where a tree cannot be saved we say so early rather than at the end.
Our Ravine House project in Richmond Hill is a good example of the approach: a clean pool and spa set into the grade, with lighting and planting that make the yard usable from spring through late fall.

Yes. Grade changes usually improve the design, but they require proper retaining and drainage engineering, which we handle as part of the build.
Most projects run a single season. Small senior crews and a schedule we commit to are what keep that timeline realistic.
Ravine-adjacent lots can carry conservation authority requirements alongside the usual permits, and the retaining and drainage design has to satisfy them. We identify those constraints before design work starts rather than after.
We don't publish prices or ranges, because a concrete pool is priced by the property: access, grade, soil, structure and the scope of the landscaping all move the number. We come out and look at the site first, then put a firm quote in writing.
Most of our projects run a single season, from design to first swim. Design, engineering and permits come first, then excavation, steel, plumbing, gunite, finishes and landscaping. Small senior crews and a schedule we commit to are what keep that timeline realistic.
